May 25, 2015 Ground breaking and Memorial Day Ceremony with Mayor Ron Watts and keynote speaker Superior Court Judge Ola Lewis.
Jun 24, 2015 Construction permit issued by the Town of Sunset Beach
Jun 30, 2015. Statues & side wall bricks ordered; Six bronze Service seals ordered and received. Orders for granite, pillars, wall caps, and engraved world map in final negotiations.
July 5, 2015. Initial brick order submitted (late orders accepted up to July 25, 2015)
Aug 4, 2015. Start construction of concrete pad
Sep 9, 2015. Start construction of brick walls.
Sep 18, 2015. Initial batch of engraved bricks installed.
Oct 8, 2015. Granite installed
Nov 5, 2015. Statues Installed
Nov 6, 2015. Initial granite engraving
Nov 11, 2015. Memorial Complete and Dedicated
Jan 7, 2016. Pathway installed.
