Construction Process

September 9-10.  Construction of walls begins and Committee member Tony Andujar installs the electrical conduit.

August 22, 2015.  The concrete pad has been poured and is curing.  Our plan is to start laying bricks in mid-September.

August 20, 2015.  Concrete for the Memorial is poured.  Thanks to Custom Concrete Design for setting the concrete; to Fulford Concrete Pumping for pumping; Argos Concrete for the Ready Mixed Concrete.

August 15, 2015.  Forms are set, rebar is in, and mesh is laid.  Next step will be to pout the concrete for the foundation.

May 25, 2015.  The ground breaking for the Veterans' Memorial was held as part of the Memorial Day Ceremony in Sunset Beach Town Park.  Mayor Ron Watts officiated; Superior Court Judge Ola Lewis made the keynote speech
